1. The Sardine Run, South Africa’s Wild Coast

The ultimate underwater adrenaline shot.

Every winter, billions of sardines migrate up the coast—sparking feeding frenzies that bring in common dolphins, dusky sharks, bronze whalers, blacktips, Cape gannets, Bryde’s whales, and sometimes even humpbacks.

It’s fast-paced, unpredictable, and absolutely electrifying—perfect for thrill-seekers, photographers, and anyone who wants to witness one of nature’s most dramatic events.

2. Aliwal Shoal, South Africa

One of the world’s top shark-diving sites, Aliwal Shoal delivers thrilling encounters with ragged-tooth sharks, oceanic blacktips, tiger sharks (seasonally), turtles, and bustling reef life. Drift dives, swim-throughs, wrecks, and year-round shark action make it a dream for adventure divers and photographers.

3. Cape Town Kelp Forests, South Africa

  • Aliwal Shoal: Great year-round. Raggies peak June–November, Humpback Whales make their Migration May – October & Tiger Sharks visit from November – March.

  • Ponta do Ouro: Warm-water diving all year; humpback whales July–October.

  • Sardine Run: Only May–July. This is your once-a-year window.

  • Cape Town Kelp Forests: Best visibility March–October.

  • Pomene: Ideal conditions May–November.

  • Bali: Ideal conditions All Year Round, July to October is Mola Mola season.
